early snow

We had hardly any snow in Tahoe while we were there – there was a very small amount on the ground when we arrived on Wednesday and then on Wed nite it snowed an inch or so overnight. Driving home on Sunday, we drove through snowstorms for 2 different segments of our journey but didn’t have to put chains on, thankfully, and we made it home it record time.

Then, there was a bit of snow on Monday, while I was running back and forth between the apartment and the laundry building. Go figure. That night it snowed for real and we woke up to a snowy landscape. Very nice, I took a long walk around the neighborhood. We have had snow the last 2 winters as well, but this is by far the earliest. Spencer Butte looks really pretty all sugared up with snow…
