Life happens&#8230; Face it better with a good breakfast. This one couldn&#8217;t be easier.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 339px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sparkledesign.net\/fidget\/images\/PeachQuinoa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"     \" title=\"Peach Quinoa\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sparkledesign.net\/fidget\/images\/PeachQuinoa.jpg\" alt=\"Peach Quinoa Porridge\" width=\"339\" height=\"323\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Peach Quinoa Porridge<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Peach Quinoa Porridge<br \/>\n<\/strong>4 servings<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 cup quinoa<br \/>\n2 cups water<\/p>\n<p>Per serving:<\/p>\n<p>Pinch salt<br \/>\nDash cinnamon<br \/>\nDash cardamom<br \/>\nDash nutmeg<br \/>\nHoney to taste<br \/>\n1 fresh peach or nectarine, diced<br \/>\n1\/4 c. whole milk<\/p>\n<p>Very important: Rinse and drain the quinoa in a mesh strainer. Put 1 part quinoa to 2 parts fresh water in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil; then turn heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Check it, if still seems pretty wet then let it cook for another 5 minutes or so. If all the water has been absorbed, replace the cover, remove from heat, and let stand for 10 minutes. Fluff it with a fork.<\/p>\n<p>Prepare as below and serve immediately, or let it cool and keep it in the fridge to heat up one serving at a time:<\/p>\n<p>For each serving, stir in salt, spices, honey, peaches, and milk. Microwave for 1-2 minutes or until heated through.<\/p>\n<p>As I was typing this up, I realized toasted nuts such as pecans or walnuts would make this even better&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hey, I&#8217;ve been away for awhile.
