Last Friday we went strawberry picking.

They charge by the bucket, so we picked two full buckets and felt like that was probably enough. When we transferred them into the bowls we’d brought from home, we realized two buckets’ worth was a lot!

We also saw a freaky white spider (I’ll keep the image small for arachnophobes, click if you aren’t afraid to see it larger):

We’ve had a strawberry-filled week since then. We had strawberry cocktails, strawberries wrapped in crepes with yogurt (yum!!!), strawberries with ice cream, and I froze two large bags full for use in smoothies. Cool.

ahh that spider is FREAKY!! hmm I love strawberries. Was this the same place as the blueberries?

It was a different place. We are looking forward to blueberry season - it’s kind of good that they are spread throughout the summer. I don’t have room in my freezer for more than one kind of hand-picked fruit! The spider had a magenta-outlined skull/face design on his back. You can’t really see it in the picture but it was the most unusual spider I’d ever seen.

Hello KT,
I’m just moving from one sister to another here! I have been to Ginny’s and Hannah’s blogs and enjoyed perusing them. I like the pics of strawberries you have on here. Ours are just coming out (we live in Northern MI).
I’m always eager to meet new blogger-girls, so stop by and visit me sometime

Those berries look delicious! We loved our blueberry picking experience with you guys last summer. Did they let you eat while you picked? Yum.
I love the spider picture - that is very unusual! He was a very good poser - did he run off, or did you get in more than one shot of him? I love the purple stripes.
love from Boston

Yep, that’s my secret motive - you all should move to Oregon! Or at least visit.
