good thoughts, christie. I think I had such a hard time following all the plot twists that I didn't think very deeply about the movie. I felt like it jumped around so much, from the cannibals to the sea-monster-men (who I enjoyed much more than the living skeletons from #1) to the swamp lady to the ship where Elizabeth was, to the ship where Jack was, to the ship where Will was with Davy Jones... my head was spinning. Plus people kept showing up from the first movie and I didn't remember exactly who they were. My favorite one of those was the skinny pirate with the fake eye. He kept adding all these intellectual/spiritual/psychological comments to everything. funny, funny. :)

i thought "Pirates 2" was pretty good... i was able to get past the occult undercurrents due to the fact that everyone who participated in the occult was very obviously doomed to a lifetime of misery/hell on earth, and there was one person (that i recall) who had the choice to live cursed or die, and chose death instead.

also, the costumes and special effects were amazing...
